Traveling with Toxins

Have you ever gotten off an airplane and not felt well? Flying takes a toll on your body! After a long or short flight, it is essential to detox. It can change how you are feeling. Think about it we purchase an expensive ticket to find ourselves sitting close to other passengers. In a space that isn’t exactly the most hygienic and breathing in the same air! (accumulating points and toxins) These enjoyable aspects of a flight might make you want to consider giving your immune system a little boost!

One significant component as to why it is crucial to detox after a flight is radiation! When you are flying, you are closer to the sun, which means the atmosphere is less protective, which leads you to absorb higher levels of cosmic radiation. To reduce the radiation levels, you could fly at night when the sun is on the other side of the world and lower. It is a controversial topic, but the ionizing radiation produced by airport scanners can also affect the body. You can skip the scanner and request a TSA pat-down instead.

As mentioned earlier, the recycled airflow can bring on a cold. Besides someone else having a cold, there are also toxins floating through the air from the plane: the engine fuel and many other chemicals.

Toxins can make you feel sluggish. You can even end up getting sick from being overloaded, so if you can hop into a Purify session, the infrared will do wonders! Especially after a long flight where there is time for higher toxin exposure. You will feel the difference in your skin health, mood, sleep, lower inflammation levels, better digestion, and energy levels.

Get fresh air, relax, and get quality rest. By doing these, it will give your body a chance to focus on recovering as well as detoxing naturally. Another great thing to add is dry brushing after a flight because that stimulates the lymphatic system, and that will help in the detoxification process. You could also take an Epsom salt bath. The hot water with the Epsom salt and added baking soda would aid in the detoxing process, help with inflammation, sore muscles, and aches. As always, make sure you are hydrated before and after!

Eat some antioxidant-rich foods to help defend your cells from free radicals and can counteract the effects of radiation. Add drinking lots of water to the list as well! The more you drink, the more it helps flush the toxins from your system. Since planes so graciously provide a confined space with recycled air, your skin will deserve some extra attention. Pack a face mask, under-eye gels, face moisturizer, hand creams, and chapsticks to use them on the plane or after.

After a long flight, the body is working over-time, especially the immune system. It is vital to make the extra effort to support it. Rather than re-circulating previous and new toxins, take the steps to detox your body correctly, and you will feel the benefits!

Warmly,
